We are looking for an Intern Software Engineer for AI to join the Artificial Intelligence Hub at our office in Łódź, Poland.

In this role, you will deploy AI models for 2D and 3D data for Spatial Intelligence.

1. Work directly with experienced AI engineers on real components that power Hexagon’s AI solutions. We expect you to ship production-quality code during the internship.
2. Model production and deployment: development of Python-based training workflows, C++ inference libraries and docker environments.
3. Work on MLOps aspects of model production by developing automation for CI/CD (GitHub Actions), data management and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS).
4. Validate and improve documentation and testing workflows for AI models in production.
5. Quality culture: participate in code reviews and design discussions and respond professionally to feedback.

Must-haves:

1. Strong programming skills in C++, solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and OOP.
2. Good software engineering practices: Git, clean and readable code, profiling/debugging, writing tests.
3. General understanding of AI/ML concepts: how training works, how inference is deployed, and how models integrate into software ecosystems.
4. Good communication skills in English and Polish (written and spoken).

Nice‑to‑haves:

1. Strong programming skills in Python.
2. Experience with CI/CD (GitHub actions, artifact management, etc.).
3. Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies such as EC2, S3, SageMaker AI.
4. Understanding of model exporting, quantization, or other model deployment optimizations.
